With spring break just around the corner for many schools, and families planning summer vacations, we thought we’d share our favorite cities to travel to. I asked some of the SSP gang what their favorite vacation spots where and why they loved it so much…read on for a little humor and possibly the next city, state or country that you choose to vacation at!
“The summer after my senior year of high school I stayed with my cousin in California for a couple weeks. We took a trip down the coast on our way to LA and stopped in quite a few fun places along the away…from Port Hueneme to Santa Barbara. But I’d have to say my FAVORITE city was San Luis Obispo! We were lucky enough to stop in during the week of their farmers market. A couple blocks were closed off with lots of GREAT food, music, and all the shops on the block had their doors wide open, welcoming people in. The atmosphere was very family friendly and comfortable… something, in my small town frame of mind, I didn’t expect!” Sherri, sales assistant
“I love Italy! I was freaking humorous watching me try and drive a smart car.” Lee Ann, sales representative
“London was the best city I have visited - so much to see and do. I am a big fan of history, so being in a city with so much history was great.” Mike, sales representative
“Kona Hawaii was one of my favorites! The island is beautiful and there is so much to do there, from sightseeing, water sports, or just laying on the beach. The weather is always perfect there!” Jessica, sales representative
“My favorite thing that happened during my last trip to Las Vegas was discovering the sport of Beer Pong. It wasn’t your college party beer pong, this was an underground circuit of professional tournaments with cash prizes for the winners. We ended up playing with one of the National tournament winners and he taught us the skill behind professional beer pong. It was a great time and a whole new side of Las Vegas!” Katie, marketing
“I’d have to say the best city I’ve ever been to was Panama City, Panama. It was so cool seeing such a culturally diverse city while being in a tropical climate. The beaches and oceans were beautiful and seeing the Panama Canal is something I’ll never forget! I also really loved visiting the Florida Keys…Key West in particular. I loved the architecture of the old houses and how they were all painted in bright colors..and the seafood was to die for!” Stephanie, marketing
